Red Hill Physiotherapy - Location Map

Peter Wells

After graduating from The University of Queensland in 1991, Peter has practiced in a variety of work settings including the U.K. He returned to Australia and joined the Red Hill Physiotherapy (RHP) team in 1998 and in 2001 took on the role as one of the directors of the clinic.

Peter is an APA accredited Sports Physiotherapist and is currently the Therapy Services Coordinator for both the Queensland Academy of Sport and Australian Swimming Teams. He has been selected as a physiotherapist to travel to numerous national and international competitions with both Qld and Australian swim teams. Most recently Peter has travelled to the 2005 World Championships in Montreal, The 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, and has been selected for the 2007 World Championships in Melbourne. Currently Peter is with the Australian Olympic Swim Team as they prepare for the Beijing Olympics.

Peter also works closely with many club squads and school-based swimming programs, and with the Marist College Ashgrove First XV Rugby Team. Like all of the Red Hill Team, one of Peter's aims is to help up and coming athletes to develop their bodies for the future, so they can compete in their sports (and in life in general!) at a higher level and without injury.

While swimming remains a focus area for Peter, his interest in a variety of sports has seen him work with state, national and international level competitive teams in rugby league, squash, golf, basketball, soccer, canoeing and athletics. Peter has a special interest in movement dysfunction and motor control issues for people of all ages and activity levels (whether sporting or not!).
