Vaughan Nicholson
Vaughan joined the Red Hill team in early 2007 on his return from working in North Queensland where he was heavily involved in the mining industry. This included treating chronic pain conditions and functional rehabilitation to assist a rapid return to normal function.
With a Masters Degree in Physiotherapy and a Degree in Exercise Science, both from the University of Queensland, Vaughan brings a great combination of skills to complement our clinic. Vaughan’s specific interests include sports rehabilitation, prevention and rehabilitation of knee injuries, junior athletes, pelvic and lumbar spine dysfunction and correction of biomechanical anomalies.
Vaughan recently returned from the Paralympics in Beijing, where he was the Australian Swim Team physiotherapist. The swim team had its most successful Paralympics in history winning 9 Gold, 11 Silver and 9 Bronze. Vaughan gained further international experience last year when he travelled with the Cook Islands National soccer team to Samoa for Oceania World Cup Qualifiers.
Locally Vaughan works with the Gap Premier Women’s Soccer team and Marist College Ashgrove 1st XI soccer team.
